CBITA Introduction

Tenets and Business Scope:

◎ Authorization Department and Business Scope:

China Boat Industry & Trade Association(CBITA) has been affiliated wiith China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry
(CANSI). CBITA was Established in 2000 with approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, CBITA) is a nationwide social economic organization of boating industry which provides services in the aspects of statistics, information, consultation, trade autonomy, professional training, and domestic and international cooperation and exchange as well; undertakes organization of conferences and exhibitions, and participates as well in the industry planning and national standard development and verification.

Comprising 164 unit members, the association is composed of enterprises and institutions engaged in research, design, manufacture, maintenance, trade and education of boats and relevant technical equipment. It is established under the principle of equality and voluntariness.

◎ Service Tenets:

The service tenets of CBITA is to promote the development of boat industry and waterfront leisure and tourism industry in China. It adheres to providing good service to the government，the industrial chain of boats, as well as to the counterparts both at home and abroad. It will well play a role of bridge between the Government and enterprises, between the manufacturer and the customer, and between the Chinese and foreign counterparts.

Service Orientation and Work Performance:

- CBITA Provides program proposal, subject study and consultation service for government departments

Suggestions and study reports on planning and policy to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Tourism Administration，the Ministry of Communication and the Ministry of Finance such as “Suggestions on the 12th Five-year Development Program of Yacht Industry in China”, “Study on Development of Technical Innovations of Yacht Industry”, “High Consumption Tax of Yachts” and “Tax of Boats and Cars” , etc.

Specific study and consultation reports for local governments, such as Shanghai, Guangdong, Tianjin, Chongqing, Dalian, Xiamen and Nantong etc., for example, the “Study on the Development Competitiveness of Ship and Yacht Industry”.

Assistance to the Government department in carrying out the nationwide investigation, statistics and analysis on the yacht industry in China, corresponding suggestions and proposals are also made.

International Communication

Joined the ICOMIA in 2008, releasing information to the world, promoting the dissemination and marketing expansion of China yacht industry, and seeking to more rights to speak for China in the world yacht industry.

Establishment of friendly cooperation relationship with the overseas professional yacht associations and relevant organizations in the US, Italy, France, Australia，UK and Japan.

Participation in international conferences held in the US, Australia, Russia, Belgium, Singapore, Japan, etc.

Organization of relevant local governments, social organizations, financial groups, manufacturers and design institutes to have investigation, study, visit and to attend exhibitions in France, the US, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan District for many years.

Exhibitions

Since 1996, the “China International Boat Show” has been held every year in Shanghai. The Show has become a comprehensive and professional exhibition of yachts which has the longest history in China and the largest scale in Asia. The exhibition covers the whole industrial chains, ranging from the real ships, equipment of yachts, yachts service, local waterfront development planning, water leisure tourism, activities and contests, water culture, to building technology and rules and standards, which has demonstrated the status of the exhibition itself as a development direction indicator of China yacht industry.

Since 2008, jointly with Xiamen Municipal Government, CBITA has sponsored the Xiamen International Yacht Exhibition and has also given substantial support to the yacht exhibitions in Qindao, Ninbo and Zhoushan.

Participation in discussion, development and revision of rules and technical standards;

Study on the development of yacht economy and technology and waterfront industry

Under the demands of local government and investment group CBITA organizes city urban programming design and consultation companies at home and abroad and relevant experts as well to carryout investigation and study on the development of yacht economy and technology, and the development waterfront industry.

Initiation of content on new life, organizing water leisure activities

CBITA organizes and facilitates actively the folk yachts contests, water leisure and recreation activities, promoting yacht fabrication industry, leisure recreation business and cooperation among yacht enthusiasts.
