Nansha International Sailing Festival in Guangdong in 2017

In order to promote the historical and cultural exchanges of the maritime Silk Road, to strengthen the interactive exchange of sailing enthusiasts from domestic and abroad, to promote the sailing culture, Nansha yacht club will hold Guangzhou Nansha International Sailing festival.

The event took the Volvo global sailing Guangzhou stop as an opportunity. Regatta is the theme. Youth sailing performances, OP navigation and cultural promenade, water recreation sports show and experience the ocean culture promotion public forum, the amphibious boat show series of activities will be launched. All of them are committed to build a sports and cultural, athletic and recreation of marine cultural event.

During the event, visitors can watch the water show, fashion show, band performances, participate in aquatic activirties.

Countdown start ceremony of World's top off shore sailing events (Volvo Global Yacht Race)
Date: July 29--30, 2017

With a history of 43 years, Volvo global Regatta, known as the "ultimate challenge marine marathon", attracting top seaman from around the world to compete on earth, the most difficult conditions in the marine environment fighting competition.

Volvo global sailing 2017-18 season starting from Spain to Alicante in October 2017, until the end of June 2018 in Holland, Hague, Lisbon stopover fleet (Portugal), Cape Town (South Africa), Melbourne (Australia), Hongkong (Chinese), Guangzhou (Chinese), Oakland (New Zealand), ihaka (Brazil), Newport (USA), Cardiff (UK), Goteborg (Sweden).

Nautical culture gallery will display the origin and development of Volvo global sailing competition, the history of change, the video of all previous exciting events, and the inheritance of the spirit of Volvo navigation.

Marine culture commonweal Forum

The forum will invite young people to experience sailing on sea, learn sailing knowledge, enhance practical ability. The government of Nansha District has been committed to supporting the development of teenagers sailing, and also attempt to organize "sailing into the campus" event, and guide young people to participate in sailing.
